Not Sure How I Feel About This...

I have this clock in my house that I really liked, but I started to get really sick of it. I saw one of Jessica's friends that gave her clock a makeover so i decided i would try to do it. Well I am not sure if I like it as much, but I thought I would share. You see the first picture where it was green (which i really liked) and the second picture is the finished product. I did it really fast. There are things I would have done different... Like paint the hands black, I didnt have the patience.

Should I have kept it green?? Sorry Mom, you gave this to me (but I picked it out). Jon made the comment that he was hoping I would have kept the only "non-pink" thing not pink...

THE MADNESS!!

My sister Jennifer posted yesterday about her house and how it was clean but that something was bugging her.... Well turns out she was going crazy about her messy closets. The first thing that came to my mind was "you think yours is bad??"

Jon has been remodeling our house. Which is GREAT, but I speak for both of us when I say we are ready for it to be done! The outcome will be so awesome but please look at what I have been living in for 6 weeks.

First the kitchen... I can't tell you the last time I used a plate or bowl or even started the dishwasher. You might say "At least do the dishes" I CAN'T I don't have the desire. Sad to admit but really there is no point!

Second, the living room! Please notice the dust. That is on the bottoms of our feet 24/7. You might say "why don't you vacuum?" oh we have a million times, but to no avail, two hours later its back to BAD! Please notice the ShopVac. It has been wheeled and left in every room in the house.

And finally our bathroom (the new one) It is so NICE, and I am so excited for it to be done, but right now we our showring in this, with no door, no bath rugs, no nothing! You might say "Why don't you use the other bathroom?" Thats being worked on too and even worse.

So all in all I am so thankful that Jon knows how to do this, and it really will be so nice when it is done, but for the first time ever I WANT TO CLEAN MY BUTT OFF! There is dust everywhere!

Delish!

I saw this cute oven and thought wowie! I would love this to be in my kitchen (along with the pink fridge). I love color, flowers, and anything that makes my house that much prettier. Anyway, its not like its the most amazing thing ever but I really thought it was cute!

GOOD JOB JONNY!
It wouldn't be appropriate for me not to acknowledge the newest graduate. I am so proud that he did this! He has worked so hard not only at school but also carried a full time job the whole time!

He is hardest worker I know!

Good Job, Jon. I love you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

Happy 30th to my wonderful sister Jek (Jessica)
I guess I will do a memory post about her as well!

I can honestly say I am so blessed to have the three best sisters that anyone can ask for! I love them! They are all unique for different things and in different ways.

Today for Jeks birthday I will post some memories and fun times with her:

My 5 fond memories:

1) Bedtime was never bed time. We had all sorts of games that we would play in bed: It was usually "shark" where we would take turns getting as close to falling off the bed as possible and soon as you thought you were going to fall you yelled "SHARK!" and the other person had to pull you to safety! Creative let me tell you!

2) We were obsessed with anything abnormally small! We had different dances we would do for something that was cute and petite, and then a really ugly dance for something that was big and ugly. i.e a 2 ounce bottle of ketchup... cute! a 25 ounce bottle of Ketchup... UGLY!

3) Another memory I had was when she sort of got mad at me because I wouldn't try my cereal with just a tiny bit of Milk like she did...

4) She always wanted me around. It didn't matter what friend or boyfriend she had over I was always welcome. And she always made me feel included. I NEVER got the "younger, annoying sister feel" Thanks!

5) She has been there for EVERYTHING! Whether it was a breakup, a wedding, a wedding shower, a new house, she is always there and always ready to help! There have been a couple of different occasions where Jessica has made the trip to Utah just because I needed help decorating, or just needed my college room cute. SHE WILL ALWAYS HELP!

Happy Birthday Jek! Thanks for being the best sister/friend ever. Love you to death. Couldn't ask for anyone better.

HAPPY 30th!

I've Been Tagged... Sort of

So my sister Jill did this memory thing about our sister Jessica on her blog. She told some funny stories and funny tidbits about Jek. I really liked the idea so I made this into a tag and tagged myself. Any takers??

Today's post serves two purposes. My memory is about my brother Mitch and it is also his birthday so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOO!

Me and Mitch were the last two kids (of six) and I loved him! Don't get me wrong there were days when I thought I would beat the crap out of him, but all in all we were great buddies.

Growing up Mitch and I went to live with my sister Jennifer every summer in Maryland. One summer specifically I remember when I really realized that Mitch was the coolest kid ever. We had the same friends in Maryland so I got to see him interact with friends and not just with family, and let me tell you the kid was HILARIOUS. That was the first time I really started to appreciate his personality and just think he was so fun!

For a while Mitch and I (in jr. high and some highschool) shared a room. We had bunk beds and Mitch always kept me enterained. I remember waking up at nights with Mitch crouching down at the foot of my bed shaking it. I woke up so scared because I didn't know who the creep was shaking my bed and staring at me. There was also the time when I woke up out of a deep sleep because I could not longer breath.... Turns out Mitch couldn't sleep either and so he decided to plug my nose to wake me up.

I have tons of stories that I could go on and on, but the last one I always think is funny is how protective Mitch was of me. It was funny because it was a discrete protection, but I don't think he liked guys looking or talking about me. One time in Maryland I had these short shorts that he didn't like me wearing. I told him I was going to wear them around the missionaries (of course I wouldn't). Well low and behold I never saw those shorts again. I think Mitch disposed of them.
Anyway Mitch is such a great friend and a wonderful brother I am so blessed to have him in my life and so close by!
Love ya Buddy!

Anyone who wants to do this can! I think it is a fun way to remember the fun times you have with loved ones.

Guess Who
I did have this picture posted on Tuesday night for about five minutes....

Until Jon told me he was very ashamed that I would point fun of someone on my blog... Needless to say the guilt got to me so I took it down. I now have it back up for no good reason. I just wanted to have her on my blog. I am not saying anything about her, I'm just letting you know she's Shayne's mom, from the Bachelor.

Off the subject: I was TOTALLY thrown off by this picture.
Its Bob Barker! I couldn't tell that was him for the life of me!
What happened to the cute guy on Price is Right??
Be honest, did you know who it was?

I'm Obsessed

Well I have always been somewhat into Idol, I've kept up with who is still in, who everyone likes etc etc. but this year... I AM LOVING IT! Jon and I watch it every night. It is such a great show, and I honestly enjoy the judges just as much as the artists. They add character to the show. Regardless of what any one thinks, I think Simon is always right on point with his comments (and looks). He busts out some of the funniest things.

We love Simon...

Who is your favorite judge? Simon, Paula, or Randy

Every Woman Needs One...

Every one needs a handy man, and I have one! Last week I woke up on Saturday and my husband was outside building me a master bathroom (adding on to our bedroom)! We had talked about it, but one day he woke up and decided to do it, and by 3:00pm Wa-La (sp) the whole thing was framed! Jon is such a good help and is so handy. He helps me clean, he builds me bathrooms (that are much needed), and he even helps me paint, and yes he lets me choose the color :). Bottom line, Jon is so great, and I am thankful that he is a hard worker, and that he is so handy!

Will You Be Sporting These?

They seem to be the thing right now... Not saying I will never where them.... but, I am definitely NOT feeling them right now. Not my favorite look. Who knows things tend to grow on people.

What do you think, will you be wearing them?

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!?

So this is what my brother woke up to this morning... He went to take out the trash and noticed both of his cars were GONE! Yes, some idiot stole, not one, but BOTH of his cars! They had EVERYTHING in them too, three car seats, money, wallet, golf clubs, bikes. It makes me so mad that there are actually people out there that think they are entitled to what ever they want. I swear I could beat people! Good luck you guys, and hopefully they find the jack ankle that did this.

Hawaii!

Well we are back from Hawaii and let me tell you, we had a blast! We did every thing we wanted to do. We ate AMAZING dinners (gained 4 lbs), took a helicopter ride, drove the Hana Hghwy, went whale watching, snorkled and laid by the beach. Seriously we had such a great time. The whole time we were saying to each other "how can we move here"?

Here are some highlights and lowlights of the trip, but all in all everything was highlight because we can look back and laugh:

HIGHLIGHTS:

*I GOT SOME SUN!
*I saw a few whales up close
*The place is amazingly beautiful
*We ate 6 boxes of Mauna Loa chocolates
*We brought 17 boxes of chocolates home to eat
*I snorkled, which is amazing, its a whole different world
*We went to a Luau
*I held some gorgeous birds, and one actually open mouth kissed me!
*The Hana Highway. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen
*Mama's Fish House
*We stayed a night at the
Grand Wailea Resort and the pool was a BLAST!____________________________________
LOWLIGHTS:

*Getting my face so sun burned that my face was swollen
*I didn't look cute pretty much the whole trip, because of my sunburn
*I down right got pounded the hell out of by two huge waves right in a row... No thanks, I went to shore after that.
*Me getting out of the water disoriented and topless
*Me dropping Jon's snorkeling gear to the bottom of the ocean, I guess that meant he was done for the day
*Feeling the wrath of Jon for dropping his gear.
*Hearing Mahalo (thank you) and Aloha every where we went.
*Jon lecturing me for saying GRACIAS to a Hawaiin. He thought it was disrespectful.

Here are some pictures of the trip...Notice we don't have too many together, that is what happens when you travel alone. Sorry there are alot!
All in all the trip was great and I just want to go back.

Mi Mama

I just wanted to give a quick shout out to my beautiful, wonderful, loving, sweet, mom. She had her 60th birthday yesterday and came to spend the weekend with me in Utah. Little did she know she would be sitting by my side as I was on my death bed all weekend. My parents drove all day Friday to spend the weekend with me and Mitch, and Friday afternoon I got so sick I could have died! My dear mama stayed with me the whole time. Definitely a different weekend than what we would have planned but, I really did have fun. It was so good to see her and my dad, and just catch up and visit.

I have the best Mom ever, she is the perfect example of a true lady. I always hope that someday I will turn out to be half as good as she is. AND ISN'T SHE A BEAUTY FOR AGE 60?!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM! I LOVE YOU!!

Vegas Vic

Well Jenn made a Blog for Dad.... Don't worry Mom, yours is on its way. This picture describes Dad perfectly. He taught school for who knows how long, and every year he would decorate his own school picture. My dad is the funniest person on this Earth. I could sit for hours on end laughing at him. His sense of humor and wit are 2nd to none, and I am sure anyone that knows him can attest to that.

Love ya Pops!

Hair Care

So this is random, but I just saw this picture of myself and I was reminded how AMAZING my shampoo and conditioner are. I talk about it alot but I can't believe the difference in my hair! My sister got me hooked on this stuff and I will die if it ever is dicontinued. Look at my hair (same length it is now) before I used this stuff, and look at it after using this stuff... I am telling you this stuff is amazing. I NEVER HAVE BREAKAGE ANYMORE!

Look at my wispy ends and breakage all on the sides
Sort of a bad shot, but you get the jist, it is much better

I use the absoulute repair, I couldn't find a pic but it looks just like this but a yellow bottle

Christmas and Whatever

So I have not been much of a poster lately (am I ever), but I had a few pictures that I figured I would put up on the old blog. Then maybe my sisters will decide to put something new up?? All in all this Christmas was great! We had such a fun time. We went to Vegas to be with my family and I DID NOT WANT TO COME HOME! The weather was nice, I had no obligations or worries, it was just a fun relaxing Christmas and I am so thankful for the family I got to be with. Johnny and Kelley came down with the boys and that is always exciting. There aren't three cuter, funnier, little boys. I wish everyone could have been there, but now a days its not as easy for all 25 people to meet up...Except for Beach Week.... Can't wait for that!

Wowzers!

Jessica and Alexis... it was fun having a kid there that day

Ta Tagged

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself.
3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
4. Let each person know that they’ve been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Okay so here are seven random things about me.

1. Since Jessica made me mention this.... All growing up I "thought" my tailbone hurt, each night before bed Jessica had to push on it 100 times before I could go to sleep. The hurt tailbone got me many things in life, the front seat of the car on road trips, I got to rock in the car without being told not to (some will get that), and many more things that I can't think of. In all honesty I always thought my tailbone felt weird, but I am quite sure now it was in my head.

2. I rock, so nice that i can openly say this now without feeling like I should be checked in. Now, I don't care who knows.

3. Growing up I wanted to get my little brother in trouble so I once told on him for melting ice... Yes he was doing it, but wow, did I really think he would get in trouble for it? Whats worse is that I was probably 13 or 14...

4. I was voted biggest flirt in high school. They finally just stopped counting the votes cause there wasn't a chance anyone else could catch up, at least that is what I was told.... I still don't really see how I was flirting, but I always had fun :)

5. I ate a footlong chili cheese dog from Dairy Queen (of all places) almost everyday in eighth grade.

6. I secretly wish I could be an amazing singer and dancer and would love to perform for huge audiences.

7. I am getting hella good at Guitar Hero!

Okay I tag... Kass Martin, Jill Bond, Jennifer Markoff and Amanda Cheek
